The plastic shells of the freestyle Djembes carry a lot of advantages. It is very light weight, which makes transport easier. It is also totally insensitive to temperature and humidity swings. A base ring attached to the bottom protects the instrument from damage. The synthetic head is "weather proof", the stylish Spun Copper lacquer finish is applied by hand. The Freestyle II Djembes are available with a traditional Rope-Tuning-System or with a modern tension lug tuning system.
