• The Traditional Kanjira features the authentic sound of the original South Indian Kanjira with enhanced low frequencies and crisp slap tones. Constructed with an Acousticon shell, a synthetic Skyndeep lizard skin graphic drumhead, a 1-inch flat jingle set and a 30-degree radial bearing edge.
• The Traditional Kanjira can be tuned easily by inserting a 5/64” hex key (included) into a recessed key hole and rotating the key in small increments.
• This enables the player to achieve a low pitch while bending and modulating the drumhead exactly like the original without being affected by changes in climate.
• The Kanjira fits comfortably in the player’s hand and features a dry tone with short decay.
• Ideal for traditional Indian musical applications.
• Available in antique brown wood grain stained finish.
