This book on Erskine s concepts and techniques behind jazz drumming is for the beginning to intermediate drummer and covers topics like drum set up, beats, brushes. phrasing, reading, etc. Includes a full discography of Erskine s performances.

This was probably one of Erskine's first drum books, but the genesis for all his other excellent drum books is here within this publication. I got it a few years ago as it was recommended to me by famous session drummer.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is definitely full of good advice,ideas,quotes & references. A GREAT concept book!!!!!!!
